What happens when nothing happens? Theatre de l'ArpenteurProducing Program

A sound theater performance that goes beyond the physical distance between Seoul and Marseille

About ProgramProducing Program / Korea - France Site Specific Performance

Theater de l'Arpenteur has planned a work specifically for ‘Seoul Street Arts Festival 2020’ which questions the ‘distance'.
The work asks how being far apart bring us together and how absence make us more present. [What happens when nothing happens?] proposes a trip without physical traveling between two cities (Seoul & Marseille) and two stations (Yongsan & Marseille).
A woman speaks to one audience. They meet, cross the barrier of 10,000 km and form a sense of closeness.

[Synopsis]
A poem in daily life to observe the city in front of us every day for the images and sounds approach us to see which always run away from us.
It’s time for a trip to hear the city and see it with different eyes, trip without actually moving in the movement of the city.

“What happens if nothing happens? ... everything is interesting if you observe it long enough.”-Georges Perec

Since 1998, the group has been working in public spaces with the theme of <Invisible City>.

In <Invisible City>, the city exists as the theme of all performances, rather than range, frame, or background.
