SINNOI is the unique combination of Korean traditional music-based vocals, geomungo, jazz bass, and electronic sound. The work stands out for its original sounds and unique musical ideas. Even though some traditional Korean music themes are used in the work, the sounds produced by the artists from different fields may not sound all that familiar even to Koreans. The foreign audience may find something familiar and unfamiliar in it at the same time. SINNOI adds their own musical ideas to some phrases from folk songs or traditional music, and also uses modern musical language on existing lyrics to create a unique sound of their own.
This work was also selected as the in the field of traditional arts by the performing art creation center of the Korea Culture and Arts Committee in 2020.
